The default formatting options make hyperlink text a very dark blue that is pretty difficult to see on a bright white background.
The first below screenshot contains three hyperlinks. I changed the color of one to a lighter blue and underlined the other. The third is using the default formatting.
The second shows the Wikipedia article for Hyperlinks where the hyperlinks in the text are clearly discernible from the surrounding text.
