Custom PDF Export Templates for Customer-Facing Documentation

As an MSP, one of the use cases we expected from Hudu was the ability to generate professional documentation that could be handed directly to customers.

Today, PDF exports are functional and contain the required information, but the presentation is fairly basic and often feels more like a raw data export than a polished customer document.

I would love to see support for custom PDF export templates, including:

• Company logos

• Brand colors

• Custom fonts

• Cover pages

• Custom headers and footers

• Better formatting of asset information

• Structured tables and summaries

• Different export profiles (internal vs customer-facing)

• Optional executive summary sections

My ideal scenario would be the ability to create or upload our own export templates and apply corporate branding to generated documentation.

Many MSPs use documentation exports for:

• Customer handovers

• Infrastructure documentation

• Audit reports

• Project completion packages

• Compliance and security reviews

In these situations, the appearance of the document is almost as important as the underlying data. A professionally branded export would significantly increase the value of Hudu as a customer-facing documentation platform and reduce the need for manual reformatting in Word or other tools.
